At Kovai Construction, we believe in complete transparency in all financial matters. This policy explains our payment structure and cancellation terms.
OUR PAYMENT STRUCTURE
Kovai Construction follows a stage-linked payment model. This means:
Payment for each construction stage is collected only at the beginning of that stage
The previous stage must be completed and inspected before the next payment is due
No large lump sum advance is demanded before work begins
You pay as work progresses — stage by stage
This approach ensures you only pay for work that is planned and ready to begin, giving you full visibility and control over your investment.
Typical construction stages and payment points:
Foundation work — payment collected before foundation begins
Slab work — payment collected before slab work begins
Brick and masonry work — payment at start of this stage
Plastering — payment at start of this stage
Electrical and plumbing rough-in — payment at start of this stage
Flooring and tiling — payment at start of this stage
Finishing and handover — final payment at completion
The exact number of stages and corresponding payment amounts will be clearly specified in your written construction agreement before work begins.
SITE VISIT BOOKINGS
Site visits are completely free of charge
No payment is required to book a site visit
Site visits can be rescheduled at any time
There is no cancellation fee for site visits
ENQUIRY SUBMISSIONS
Submitting an enquiry through our website does not create any financial obligation
No payment is required at the enquiry stage
You are not committed to proceed until a formal construction agreement is signed
PROJECT CANCELLATION AFTER AGREEMENT
If a client wishes to cancel after signing a construction agreement:
Before Work Begins:
If cancellation is requested before any physical work has started, any advance paid for the first stage will be refunded after deducting administrative and documentation costs
Cancellation must be submitted in writing
After Work Has Begun:
Payments made for completed stages are non-refundable as those stages represent completed work
Payments made for a stage that has begun but not completed will be assessed based on the percentage of work completed
A fair settlement will be calculated and agreed upon in writing between both parties
PROPERTY SALE BOOKINGS
For properties listed for sale by Kovai Construction:
A booking amount may be required to reserve a property
Booking amount and refund terms will be specified in the property sale agreement

DISPUTES
In case of any dispute regarding payments or cancellations, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct discussion. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to arbitration or the jurisdiction of courts in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
